The Danish Wounded Warriors Poly-trauma Pilates Society supports young victims of traumatic multiple injuries and helps them to return to a meaningful life by minimizing the impact of their physical and /or mental impairments. Meet our dedicated board.
The initiative supports the development of an international network of Pilates teachers who offer movement instruction to eligible clients in their community. It serves clients with military and civilian affiliations. Conditions include and are not limited to polytrauma, vestibular disorders, prosthetic limb(s) and traumatic brain injury.
Troels Askerud holds a Master of Law degree from Copenhagen University. Troels latest position was that of managing partner of Eversheds law firm, Copenhagen.
Troels now works independently as a lawyer within the area of corporate and corporate finance transactions. Troels furthermore is part of the executive management of Gefion Insurance A/S – a Danish non-life insurance company.
Troels is a founding board member of the Danish Banking and Finance Society and a founding member of the advisory board of ICOFIMA (Institute for Commercial and Financial Market Law) at the Copenhagen University.
Troels is furthermore one of the founding members of The Royal Danish Ballet Foundation and a founding member and chairman of DWWPPS (Danish Wounded Warriors Polytrauma Pilates Society.
Tonny Anker-Svendsen holds a MSc (actuarial science).
Tonny has more than 20 years experience in the reinsurance and insurance industry, working as managing director for an American Reinsurance company (ReliaStar) with worldwide reinsurance responsibility (except North and South America), CRO for PKA (Danish pension fund) and CEO, owner and co-founder of Alpha Insurance.

Jakob Reese worked in London for almost 20 years for a London based commodities group (E D & F Man (Group) Limited), with responsibilities for sourcing and marketing of sugar and bio fuels.
He served on the Board of Commodity Handling Pte Ltd, a unique ship-owner and terminal operator, for 10 years. Jakob was responsible for the company’s dominant position in the Middle East and North Africa; destination for the majority of Brazilian and European sugar exports.
Jakob presently holds the position of Global Sales Director at Gefion Insurance A/S – a Danish non-life insurance company. Jakob a founding member and board director of DWWPPS (Danish Wounded Warriors Polytrauma Pilates Society.
